A VARIETY of locally-sourced produce will be on offer at the Southsea Food Festival.

The Hampshire Farmers’ Market will offer visitors a range of meats, cheeses, cakes, fish, fresh bread, fresh fruit and veg, along with other produce to sell to the public.

The farmers’ market will be at the event on Palmerston Road, on Sunday, July 19, from 10am.

The market has more than 5,000 visitors a month and with the increased popularity of the Southsea Food Festival, organisers expect to double that number to taste the range of good they have on offer.

Along with selling fresh produce the market will have several food ‘to go’ options, including a hog roast.

There will also be a cookery demonstration for families and a Kidsrome petting farm area.

The market will also be promoting its annual Hampshire Farmers’ Markets Awards which are voted for by market-goers.

Winners of the awards will be announced in September
