HORNDEAN residents past and present met up to reminisce about the past.

The reunions are organised each year by former resident Eddie Harmer.

He went to school there in the 1940s and each year he and other former pupils gather for a reunion at Horndean Football Club in Five Heads Road.

The latest bash was on Tuesday and more than 100 people turned up to chat about old times.

Mr Harmer, 77, who now lives in Cosham, said: ‘It went very well and it was great to see so many people.

‘Really it was like looking in the mirror when you looked at others you grew up with.

‘It was nostalgia at its best and we talked about how Horndean had changed so dramatically over the years.’
