THERE was plenty of rocking around the Christmas tree as children boogied to festive tunes.

The Acorn Centre, in Wecock, put on a superb party for local youngsters.

Helen Lillie, deputy manager of Squirrels Preschool, which is at The Acorn Centre, said it got everyone in the Christmas spirit.

‘It was absolutely fantastic,’ she said.

‘There were lots of craft activities for the children to do and they had a brilliant DJ to get them on their feet.

‘The food was lovely and there were great party boxes for the children.’

Mrs Lillie praised the community centre for being at the heart of Wecock.

‘It’s a fantastic centre,’ she said.
