GOSPORT Fairtrade Action went nuts at councillors – all for a good cause.
The group gave packets of nuts, containing details of Malawi peanut farmers, to members of Gosport Borough Council as part of National Nut Day.
They wanted to highlight the importance of nuts in the environment, explaining that eating them instead of meat helps reduce carbon emissions.
Tara Fisher, assistant co-ordinator of the group, said she also wanted to demonstrate the range of products available.
She said: ‘We wanted to show our appreciation to the council with these.’
