A MAN has won a role in a production company’s latest show.

Paul Wilkinson, 20, from Gosport, has won a part in How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying.

Paul is studying for a degree in musical theatre at Arts Education Schools London.

The role was suggested to him by his course leader.

Paul said that he wants to keep his acting, singing and dancing techniques up to scratch over the summer holiday.

The young actor has previously played Nanki-Poo in Hot Mikado at The Kings Theatre, in Southsea.

He added he recommends his drama school for anyone looking to go into musical theatre. He will play Gatch in the show, due to be on stage next month.

Award-winning youth theatre, The Company Music Theatre, will stage the show at The Lowry, in Manchester, from August 8 to 10.

The company is a national youth theatre for musicals, and showcases pioneering young talent.

Composed by Frank Loesser, the musical follows F J Pierrepont Finch, a young but bright window-cleaner who buys a book and soars up the corporate ladder by following its instructions.

On the way he faces obstacles, rivals and love but makes the fatal error of not reading far enough ahead in the book.
