AGENCIES responded well to floods at Hambledon earlier this year, according to residents of the village.
More than 250 people went to a meeting at Hambledon Church last night to talk about the response to the crisis, which flooded 17 houses and left parts of the village under water for 75 days.
Parish council vice-chairwoman Caroline Dibden said villagers were able to vote on the response from agencies including Hampshire County Council, Southern Water, Hampshire Constabulary, First Bus and the Environment Agency.
Ms Dibden said: ‘Everybody in the audience had a little device which allowed them to vote on each of the agencies.
‘Pretty much everybody got goods and excellents.
‘If anything it showed how much co-ordination there was between the different groups.’
