MINCE pies and mulled wine will be the order of the day when the Christmas lights are switched on in Emsworth.
Santa Claus is due to arrive in St Peter’s Square at 5.15pm on Friday, with the big switch-on taking place at 5.20pm.
From 5pm there will be music and carol singing.
Free refreshments will include mince pies and mulled wine for adults and lollipops for children.
From 5.30pm children will be able to visit Santa’s Grotto.
Meanwhile, in Mengham, Hayling Island, crowds are expected to gather for the Christmas light switch-on at 5pm on Friday.
Visitors will be treated to an artificial snow play area, carol singing from pupils of Mengham Infant School and visits from Hayling Island fire station, police and members of the RNLI.
