A popular annual event returns to Havant next
month.

The Bedhampton summer show is the largest free event in the Havant calendar and will take place on Saturday, July 4 at Bidbury Mead.

This year’s theme will be Independence Day.

There will be a teddy bear’s picnic at 1pm and then Havant Deputy Mayor, Councillor Faith Ponsonby, will open proceedings at 2pm.

Events will include a children’s fancy dress competition and novelty races.

Returning this year will also be two popular crowd pullers
– Aziza Dance Group and the Solent Dog Display Team.

Surrounding the arena will be the full range of stalls, displays and sideshows as well as cart rides and a bouncy castle.

The Portsmouth City Band will provide the musical entertainment in the tea arena.

The show is supported by many local businesses.

Proceeds from the show primarily support the work of the St Thomas and St Nicholas churches, in Bedhampton, and other local charities.
