AN annual ‘SleepOut’ will see people sleeping under the stars for charity.

Stansted Park will play host to the SleepOuts on Friday, June 19 for Hampshire charity Step by Step.

The park is the newest addition to the charity’s annual SleepOut, held to raise awareness and fundraise for the homeless and vulnerable young people in the region.

Step by Step has recently expanded across the south east and has locations in Havant and Gosport as well as Fareham, Aldershot, and Basingstoke.

Stansted House will be the backdrop to Step by Step’s fifth annual SleepOut.

With the maze open until late and the farm shop selling food and drink, the charity is urging all ages to come along and enjoy the picturesque setting while supporting the cause.

Step by Step caters to 16 to 21-year-olds who have been made homeless or are in vulnerable situations.

It not only provides accommodation to young people but offers guidance, family mediation, training, and help with job opportunities to those it houses and also to the youth in the community.

Anyone interested in getting involved can visit the charity’s website at stepbystep.org.uk where registration is open for all to sign up for the SleepOut at Stansted Park and Aldershot Football Club.

Participants can pay a one-off registration fee or get sponsored to SleepOut and all proceeds will go in part to the Stansted Park charity and to Step by Step.
