PEOPLE in Portsmouth are being asked to answer a children’s hospice’s calls for volunteers in the lead up to Christmas.

Hampshire-based charity Naomi House is looking for people to help out at fun and festive events that are taking place around the county.

From Christmas markets to the Santa Fun Run, the hospice says there is plenty for people to do who want to help out this Christmas.

Fundraising volunteer Nathalie Ormrod said: ‘Knowing that the time I am giving is helping every child who visits the hospice is an invaluable gift.’

Volunteer services manager Lucy Butcher said: ‘Every volunteer plays a vital role in helping to keep Naomi House running throughout the year.’
