MORE than 1,500 people were wowed by competitors at the The United Kingdom Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation South Coast at Portsmouth Guildhall.

The bodybuilding show in the city is now in its 12th year and organiser Paul Smith said this year’s event, on Sunday, was more successful than ever.

Mr Smith said: ‘It’s the 12th year of the show and it was the biggest one by far.

‘We had 163 competitors and just over 1,500 in the audience watching so it was a big, big show.

‘It’s gradually grown. In the first year I did it only had about 25 competitors.’

Mr Smith is already preparing for next year’s bodybuilding show
