A CHOIR is looking for experienced singers to swell its ranks.

The Petersfield Choir is embarking on its second year and, as in most choirs, new male singers will be particularly welcome.

Director Steve Sargent said, ‘We are aiming to move up a notch this year and, for the first time, there will be auditions because the music we’re learning requires confident singers who can read music well.

‘By requiring that higher standard, I hope that new people will want to join as they can be sure of being in a group which can sing good music well, and can pick it up quickly.’

The next concert is Palm Sunday. Anyone wishing to join can contact Mr Sargent by emailing
