Professional photographers spent the summer picturing all the youngsters at sessions across the Portsmouth area. Parents then chose which picture of their child they wanted to be entered.

This year’s winner will receive the honour of being crowned Baby and Toddler of the Year 2012, plus a seven-night break at Pontins, a 20”x16” photograph from Fraser Portraits and a trophy.

Our category winners will each receive a three or four-night break at Pontins, a 14”x11” photograph and a trophy.

Once the votes have been counted, the top 40 in each age group will go through to the semi-final.

All these pictures will be published in The News in November and readers will be asked to vote again for their favourites, this time to select the final 10 in each category.

Our panel of judges will then pick a winner in each age category plus their overall winner.
