PINTS are about to start sinking as the Portsea Island Beer Festival gets under way.

The festival will start tomorrow and run until Sunday at The Groundlings Theatre in Kent Street, Portsea.

There will be more than 50 real ales and nine ciders on offer from as far away as Scotland.

Friday and Saturday afternoon sessions will run from midday to 4pm and evening sessions on both days will take place from 6pm to 11pm.

There will also be live music including Steve Hampton on Friday evening, Dicey Riley on Saturday afternoon and Bemis on Saturday evening.

Tickets are available at the Groundlings as well as pubs including The Hole in the Wall and The Leopold in Southsea, The Rose in Milton, the Queen’s Head in Titchfield, the Stag’s Head in Westbourne and Irving Brewery in Havant.
