Portsmouth’s two bishops witnessed first hand services that offer selfless help.
The Anglican Bishop of Portsmouth the RT Rev Christopher Foster and Roman Catholic Bishop of Portsmouth the RT Rev Philip Egan, visited two centres today.
They first visited Advice Portsmouth, in Kingston Crescent, followed by the asylum drop-in centre in All Saints Church, Commercial Road.
The visit came as the two churches nationally are doing similar trips to see places that offer free support and help.
Bishop Philip said: ‘I have been impressed with what I have seen at both places today.
‘In particular the help given at the asylum drop-in centre is most touching.
‘I hope there will be successful outcomes for people at the centre.
