TWO black swans caused a stir when they dropped in at Canoe Lake.
The unusual birds were spotted among the other swans yesterday in Southsea.
Onlookers took pictures of the swans, who stood out from the rest with their bright red beaks and sleek black feathers.
Tony Denny, 69, of Whitwell Road in Southsea, said: ‘I was absolutely amazed when I saw them.
‘I have never seen anything like them here before.
‘I can’t imagine how they ended up here.
‘It has been blowing quite a gale out there at the moment so perhaps they have been blown in from somewhere.
‘They look stunning.’
The swans remained in the lake for hours.
