Have your say

THERE’S nothing better than a good chat and a cup of coffee.

Especially if you have a passion for reading and like to be among other bookworms because that’s exactly what you get at Hayling library club. Like-minded people meet every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm to discuss books and anything else they are interested in.

There are also regular speakers on a wide variety of subjects. Odette Turner, from Hayling, has been a member for two years.

She said: ‘At the last meeting a lady gave us a talk on the 1953 Jubilee. She dressed up and sang songs from the era.

‘I really enjoy the club. It’s mostly elderly people who would otherwise not be able to get out.

‘You can make great friends.’ Pop into the library, in Elm Grove, to find out more.
