ANYONE looking to try out bowling need look no further.

Cowplain Bowling Club is holding its annual open day on Saturday from 10.30am until 4pm.

The club now has an all-weather surface that will enable outdoor bowling all year round.

Al Joyner, from the club, said: ‘If you are interested in learning to play outdoor bowls and want to have a go, then come along and try your hand under the guidance of our coaching team.

‘It is good exercise, and the club offers casual and competitive bowling and social activities. If you have bowled before and are looking for a friendly all year round club to join, then come along, view our facilities, and meet the members.’

The club offers a taster session and two free coaching sessions. It is located behind Cowplain Activity Centre, off Padnell Road.
