TWO boys have been pounding the streets of Portchester to raise money in memory of their grandmother.
Twins Josh and Joe Nicklin, aged 11, ran almost three miles around Portchester to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
It comes just two months after their gran Dianne Lowes died, aged 66 after suffering from a very rare form of the disease called Piks disease.
The boys, from Cador Drive in Portchester have raised almost £500.
Joe said: ‘On the way there it was all right but on the way back it was a struggle. I’m quite proud.’
And Josh added: ‘At first we were concerned about our nan and then we realised that it would help if we did a run for her.
‘She would be really happy. She was really funny and she would always put a smile on everyone’s face.
‘Me and my brother are really happy about how much we have raised.’
