Fans came to watch the biggest and the best showcase themselves at the South Coast Bodybuilding show.

More than 200 fitness fanatics took part in 25 categories as the judges and the fans looked out for those who shone through.

Organiser of the event Paul Smith said: ‘This is the twelfth year that we have run it and it was the biggest crowd and largest amount of competitors.’

Twelve judges made up the panel who were all looking for the balance and the proportion of the competitors’ bodies.

Julien Lawes, 29, competed in the men’s physique category said: ‘I have been training for three months to be here – but I was nervous to go on stage.’
