Carcass of dog found dumped at Portchester Castle

A BAG containing a dead dog was found discarded in the grounds of Portchester Castle.

Members of the public reported their finding to Fareham Borough Council.

A spokesman for the council said: ‘We received a report of a bag containing a deceased animal in the grounds of Portchester Castle. This has now been retrieved.

‘The animal will be taken to our depot and scanned to try and trace the owner.’
