LETTER OF THE DAY: Hope I don’t end up in an ‘uncaring’ care home

A CAT that managed to get itself trapped under the bonnet of a car had a lucky escape.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue sent one of its animal rescue advisors to Newcomen Road in Stamshaw, Portsmouth, after the alarm was raised at 1.30pm on Saturday.

The cat was eventually released by partially dismantling the dashboard and it was able to be freed from inside the car.

The trapped pet was then reunited with its owners.
