MEMBERS of a popular singing group have handed over donations from last year’s concerts to their chosen charities.

Members of the Widley-based women’s group Reflections are well known in the area for their repertoires, which include songs from the musicals and from the 1920s and 1940s.

The group, which performs in nursing homes and other organisations, dress in costumes as part of their show.

After another successful year, the members recently donated £500 to their nominated charities – Macmillan Cancer Support, the Alzheimer’s Society, Brain Tumour Research and Gift of Sight.

Secretary Janet Williams said: ‘We would like to thank all who contributed so generously.’

The group rehearses on Monday afternoons from 1.30pm to 3pm at Christchurch Hall, London Road, Widley.
