POMPEY fans who camped during the club’s tour of Spain raised more than £1,100 for the Tom Prince Cancer Trust.

Debbie Benham, and her husband Gary, the chairman of the Pompey Supporters Club in Spain, let fans set up tents in their villa in Benalmadena in Malaga.

They charged £10 for the privilege and held a collection on a supporters’ coach to the Gibraltar match, generating a total of £1,183.63 for the charity.

Tom’s dad Clinton Prince said: ‘It brings a fantastic smile to my face. They could have profited out of it but to give it all to the trust shows the commitment of the community abroad.

‘I want to give a big thank you to all the Pompey supporters.’
