TWO important charities will benefit from the tough work of cyclists.
The annual Denmead Cycle takes place on Saturday with rides for all abilities.
Heading off from the Harvest Home pub at 10am, with music from Denmead Brass Band, pedal pushers can choose the 10, 10 or 35-mile routes taking in the beautiful South Downs.
All the money raised will be split between Hannah’s Holiday Home, which provides luxury breaks to families of seriously ill children, and Myeloma UK, which provides information on blood cancer.
The ride is open to anyone and after crossing the finishing line cyclists can enjoy live music throughout the afternoon and into the evening, including Back Around Monday, Lost Star Souls and Fay Wray.
There will be a barbecue, raffle, auction, face painting, cake competition and a barbecue available all day. Stalls and attractions will be in the car park.
Registration forms are available in the pub or at denmeadcycleride.org.uk.
