AN ARMY of motorbike riders is expected for a charity day in honour of a little girl.

The Phoenix pub in Torrington Road, North End, Portsmouth, has organised a fundraising day for ‘Ivy’s Army’.

The campaign is inspired by Ivy Weir from Farlington who was born with cystic fibrosis.

Half of the proceeds from the day will go towards the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Ivy’s mum Gemma Daysh said: ‘The landlady Tracy heard about our fundraising group as one of the parents is a regular and she wanted to help – such a lovely lady.

‘There will be a big motorbike ride out as well for Ivy, which is lovely.’

The ride takes place from 2pm on Saturday, February 28. Entry is £5 and includes a buffet.

From 8am there will retro hair and beauty treatments on offer. From 4pm there will be a disco, cake sale, a sponsored wax and a raffle.

From 8.30pm there will be a ska band.
