Children in Need: Pub raises money with 12-hour ping pong game

CHEERLEADING squad Dance-a-cality is celebrating success after being crowned national champions.

The troop raised £700 to fund its trip to the annual International Cheerleading Coalition National Cheerleading Championships, which was held at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham.

The girls were delighted to secure first place in their section.

Principal Lara Hallam said: ‘I’m so proud of my team and our unbelievable success in our first year entering the competitive world of cheerleading.’

The troop practises at Brookfield Secondary School, Sarisbury Green, and Hedge End Salvation Army Community Centre.
