School pupils are looking up to their superheroes in order to raise money for Children in Need.

Pupils at Milton Park Primary School in Southsea dressed up as their idols for the day.

Headteacher Julie Smith said: ‘We are all dressed up as superheroes today for Children in Need, one pupil is even dressed up as me which I am very pleased about!

‘We always try to support children’s charities and Children in Need is one of the main charities we try to support.

‘We always to talk to the children about where the money goes and the importance of supporting charities’

The school today raised £506.45 for Children in Need.

Schools and businesses across the region took part in the annual BBC fundraiser.
