PEOPLE are being invited to an annual church service to celebrate the city.

St Thomas’s Anglican Cathedral in Old Portsmouth is hosting its annual City Service on May 26 at 11.15am.

The City Service is a celebration of the city and its citizens.

There will be a civic procession of the new Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, and the council members and officers before the service begins.

It has been running for more than 70 years.
