SINGING loudly from a hymn sheet, the Parker family are just some of the people who enjoyed a Christmas carol service in Clanfield last night.

With help from the band of the Salvation Army and the choir of Clanfield Junior School, dozens of people wrapped up warm and put on their best singing voices at the annual service.

It took place by torchlight at the village pond. The service was conducted by Canon Gill Hill.

Next week will see another carol service taking place in Havant.

Festive fun, gifts, and music will be on offer at the Public Service Plaza on Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. It is to raise money for the mayor’s charity appeal.
