PARAMEDICS took a young woman to hospital after her vehicle collided with railings.

Firefighters from Havant station were called to the junction of Bedhampton Way and Petersfield Road, in Leigh Park, at 6.50pm on Saturday over fears the driver of the Renault Megan may have needed to be cut free from the vehicle.

But when they arrived she had already freed herself. It is not known how the accident happened but there were no other
vehicles involved.

Paramedics took the woman to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, as a precaution.

Just 90 minutes later the crew was called to an alleyway in High Lawn Way,
Leigh Park.

A passer-by had spotted something on fire and it turned out to be a mini-moped.

There was no one around at the time and it is not known who the vehicle belonged to.
