A PORTCHESTER pub will reopen tomorrow after being given a makeover.

Refurbishment work on The Seagull in Cornaway Lane began on Tuesday, April 14, and was completed in just under three weeks.

The function room was redecorated and the restaurant has been given a new layout.

New furniture and carpets have been put in and the pub has been given a fresh coat of paint.

Work was done to the bar, and a large TV and projector screen have been added.

Talking about the changes, pub manager Alex Jeffery said: ‘The pub was in need of a bit of a refresh and the makeover was just the job.

‘The difference it has made is amazing. Customers can meet for breakfast, lunch and an evening meal at a reasonable price all in fresh, bright and friendly surroundings.

‘We want to offer something for everyone and I am confident sports fans will love our new big screen.’

The Seagull hosts regular entertainment including a quiz every Tuesday.
