THE search is on for the new Miss Portsmouth, and the competition is calling for all young beauties to make sure they get their entry from in.

The winner of the regional heat, who will replace current Miss Portsmouth Charlotte Thomson, will be decided and crowned at the Champneys Springs Health Resort in Leicestershire, at a date yet to be confirmed.

They could also win a modelling shoot and help with putting a portfolio together, before going on to represent the city in the national heats of Miss England. If they win that, they will go on to the Miss World competition.

Leah Shafik, organiser of Miss Portsmouth, said: ‘We’re looking for someone who can be a good ambassador for the country and the Portsmouth girls always do really well in the national heats.’
