COUNCILLORS will meet to discuss changes to a major redevelopment of a brewery that were not agreed.
Planners at East Hampshire District Council have been concerned that certain elements of the redevelopment of the Gales Brewery in Horndean were not approved by the council when developers won planning permission.
Linden Homes has transformed the site by building around 70 homes, as well as a shop and car park.
A planning report states the car park layout and tree planting nearby does not match the approved plan.
A large retaining wall and ‘unsympathetic railing’ is also mentioned in the report, as well as ‘intrusive ramps and steps’ at the northern end of the car park.
A report states: ‘There is no doubt that a number of changes have been made to the development that are material and should have been subject to applications to the council.’
The report says Linden Homes is aware that it should have contacted the council and is willing to implement improvements.
