YOUNGSTERS are enjoying activities this week to help them celebrate the Royal wedding.

Workshops with a theme of kings and queens have been on offer at Gunwharf Quays since Monday, from classes in making tiaras to designing a sword and shield.

Other activities included competitions, a round table quiz, making a cloak, a court circular puzzle and designing jewellery.

There is also an art installation beginning to take shape in the square, called Kings and Queens Through the Ages, which was created for the centre by Big Art.

Each day a new section has been added to the image and on Sunday the final piece, featuring Prince William and Kate Middleton, will be added to celebrate the wedding on April 29.

The children’s workshops run at Gunwharf Quays from midday to 4pm until Sunday.
