HERE’S Daisy the African pygmy goat pulling a very strange face.

She may look rather odd but her twin sister was just about to give birth and her instincts immediately kicked.

The two-year-old was sniffing the air to get a sense of what was happening and to make sure it was safe for her sister.

Daisy, who is a new mum herself, is one of the star attractions at Staunton Country Park, in Havant.

Staff there are gearing up for a busy weekend with families making the most of the first days of spring.

Liana Norman, one of the park rangers, said: ‘Daisy is a real character and she’s getting on great.

‘All the animals have been outside enjoying the lovely sunshine.

‘Especially the newborn.

‘Daisy was given to us and recently gave birth to a kid we called Malcolm.

‘We haven’t named him after anyone but he came out looking like a Malcolm.

‘We have a lot of fun here thinking up names for them.’

Staunton Country Park is in Middle Park Way, Havant. It is open from 10am to 5pm each day. For more information call (023) 9245 3405.
