As well as the races there was lots of traditional games for people to take part in.

And it raised a healthy amount of money for the Scouts – £5,0000.

Scout leader Angela Harwood said: ‘It was a brilliant day.

‘The people of Denmead came out to support us despite the weather. It’s always really good fun for everyone.

‘All the money raised will go towards keeping the subscriptions low.

‘We are also looking taking part in a big Hampshire camp next year which will be a bit more expensive than usual. This will really help.’

The Dinosaur Derby is in its 21st year.
