VISITORS to Southsea Library will be able to see memorabilia from the three-part series focusing on the Arthur Conan Doyle’s real-life detective investigations, which began last night on ITV.

A selection of costumes from the new show, in which actor Martin Clunes plays Conan Doyle, are on display alongside a host of artefacts from the Conan Doyle collection.

As well as creating Sherlock Holmes, Conan Doyle, who used to practise as a GP in Southsea, had his own successes solving cases.

While his detecting feats aren’t currently widely known, budding detectives can find out more at the exhibition, which runs until March 23.
