FOLK music lovers are in for a treat next week.

Hambledon Folk Club moves to the Vine Pub in West Street, Hambledon, for its seasonal and informal ‘Anything Goes’ session.

Mik Norman, from the club, said: ‘Dispel the January blues by a roaring log fire and self-made entertainment.

‘It’s an ideal opportunity to try out new material, play an old favourite or perform for the very first time in a relaxed setting. Come along and sing a song, play a tune, recite a poem, tell a story, join in the chorus – or just sit back and listen.’

The event takes place next Wednesday from 8.30pm and entry is free.

Mik added: ‘During the B2150 road closure in Hambledon it’s easier and quicker to enter Hambledon village from either Clanfield or Droxford directions.’
