ADMIRERS of the Duchess of Cambridge may get a chance to see the royal as she visits Portsmouth today.

Kate Middleton, who is six months pregnant with her second child, is coming to the city to see Sir Ben Ainslie’s new America’s Cup race base in the Camber Dock, Old Portsmouth.

She will join the Olympic gold medallist at his base, which is also the 1851 Trust.

After that she will head to the Spinnaker Tower in Gunwharf Quays, in the early afternoon where people may get a chance to see her.

Precise timings of her visit have not been disclosed in advance.

At the tower she will get a bird’s eye view of the America’s Cup base and meet with community leaders, and see a display of activities and exhibits destined for display at the 1851 Trust Visitor Centre.

Kate was made Royal Patron of the 1851 Trust, which is supported by Ben Ainslie Racing, last October.

Sir Ben’s racing base is on schedule to open in June 2015.
