The homes received donations from two Tesco Express stores, One Stop, Store 21, Mann Countrywide, Powerscourt Motors, the Admiral Drake Public House, Lalys Pharmacy and many more local businesses, the public, and staff.

Business manager Rebecca Lambert said: ‘We would like to thank everyone in the community that donated an Easter egg to our appeal and helped us to make Easter a happier time for local children and young adults.

Our colleagues, clients, local businesses and other visitors to our funeral home were very generous.’

The eggs were distributed between Portsmouth City Council’s Children’s Social Care and Fostering Service, Victory Hants and The Rowans Hospice Meerkat Service.
