THEY have become famous for dressing and joining in festivities.

In their latest outing the Daleks of Charlesworth Drive, in Waterlooville, can be seen waving Union flags in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Their creator Ian Beazley said he loves to see the smile on people’s faces when they see the Dr Who enemies on his front lawn, which has become a mecca for fans of the BBC sci-fi series.

Mr Beazley, a 47-year-old former post office worker, said: ‘I thought, I’ve got a red one, a blue one and a white one which is quite apt for the Jubilee.

‘I put them altogether and stuck some flags in them and they look rather patriotic.

‘It’s been very funny actually to watch people go by.

‘They do a double take then walk off laughing to themselves.

‘I’m looking forward to relaxing in front of the television with a drink to watch it all.’

Mr Beazley, a Dr Who fan, made all the Daleks himself.

At Christmas he dresses them up as snowmen and Mr Beazley said he has already planned what they dressing up as for the Olympics.
