Faith has her hair cut for charity

AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl has had her long locks lopped off for charity.

Faith Thorpe, from Hilsea, raised more than £1,300 for Cancer Research UK.

Her hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

Faith said she wanted to do something nice for others.

She said: ‘I’m happy that I’ve done it and feeling really good that I’ve helped others who aren’t as lucky as me.’

Mum Natalie Ratcliffe went with Faith for the haircut at Headromance in Havant.

She said Faith raised the money by handing out sponsorship forms and online at justgiving.com/Faith-Thorpe.

Ms Ratcliffe said: ‘We are bursting with pride and never imagined that she would raise such a fantastic amount of money.’
