A FAMILY are appealing for the safe return of their five dogs.

The much-loved dogs disappeared on May 3 as Claire Tanner took them out for a walk. She met up with a man outside the Co-op on Tangiers Road Baffins at 10.40pm and the next thing she knew, the dogs were gone.

Her brother Colin Tanner said: ‘It is a nightmare. It is my mum that I feel sorry for.’

The dogs were owned by Anne Tanner, Claire’s mum. ‘She’s only been out of hospital for a week,’ said Colin. ‘She was desperate to get home and spend some time with the dogs, especially Milly.

‘It is the worst thing that could have happened.’

The five dogs include a shitzu and four crossbreed.

Colin said: ‘We can only put it out there and hope to get some more information. Somebody must have seen something, somewhere.’

Anyone who has seen the dogs or has any information is asked to call Claire on (023) 9275 4628.
