A KARATE club has celebrated its second birthday and is appealing for new members.

The Ryukin Ryu karate class meets at the Broadlaw Community Centre on Broadlaw Walk, Fareham, every Monday evening.

It is run by Carole Steadman and husband Dennis, or Sensei Carole and Sensei Dennis in karate terms.

The club has two classes - one for children and one for adults - and it held a party to mark its second year. Carole said: ‘It was lovely and everyone had a great time.’

Carole added: ‘We do desperately need more people to come along so we can do more. It keeps you fit and we always have fun, so the kids go home happy.’

Classes cost £3.25. Call (01329) 285667 for more information.
