A CHARITY fundraiser is taking place at a pub tonight to raise money for a disabled boy.

The event will raise cash for two-year-old Lennon, from Portsmouth, who contracted meningitis aged just three weeks, which left him with global development delay, blindness and epilepsy.

They hope to raise £25,000 to pay for stem cell treatment in the USA that could possibly give him some vision back. Any extra cash will go to the Tree of Hope charity.

The event will happen from 8pm at the Froddington Arms, in Fratton Road, Portsmouth and is being run by the Hampshire Skinhead Association. There will be a raffle and items for auction, plus a DJ and live band Soul Patch.

Several actors and actresses such as George Newton, who played Banjo in This is England, Gary Shail, who played Spider in Quadrophenia, Lorraine Stanley, who was in Eastenders and The Krays Legends and John Blundell from Quadrophenia, will also be there.
