IF THE Jubilee celebrations and the Olympics have inspired you to consider volunteering, a new drop-in service can help you get started.

Staff at the Chichester Volunteer Centre run a regular drop-in and out reach service across the city.

A new drop-in session will be held in the reception of Chichester District Council’s main office at East Pallant House on Thursdays from 9am to 1pm.

This is in addition to the well-established Tuesday morning session held in New Park Centre, Chichester.

Councillor Eileen Lintill, responsible for community services at the council, said: ‘There’s never been a better time to start considering volunteering.

‘The Jubilee celebrations and the Olympics are relying on the effort and enthusiasm of thousands of volunteers – and this week is National Volunteer Week. So if you’re inspired the local volunteer centre can help you get started.

Drop in or call 01243 864220. Alternatively go to vaac.org.uk.
