FIREFIGHTERS will throw open the doors to their station for their annual community day.

Gosport fire station will let people inside on September 1 for an open day of fun and fire safety.

There will be entertainment for children along with fire and rescue demonstrations throughout the day.

Firefighters will also show people the equipment they use to keep people safe.

The open day takes place from 10am until 4pm at the station in Privett Road.

Money raised from the sale of food and merchandise on the day will go to charity.
