SOUTHSEA firefighters helped serve a warm and tasty meal to guests at a drop-in centre and soup kitchen.

During the event at The Lifehouse, they worked alongside the charity volunteers and representatives to serve people whose lives are affected by homelessness and addiction.

Firefighter Lee Campbell said: ‘The team were able to serve a home-cooked meal to guests and also offer some practical advice on keeping safe.

‘It was a great opportunity for us to support a local charity and work with other organisations including the Fratton Asda store who kindly donated the food which we served.’
