Sarah Flamson, economic development officer at Havant Borough Council, said: ‘We have it here every 5th of November, no matter what the day.

‘The bonfire is lit by the mayor and then the fireworks start. We have about 8,000 people attend each year.

‘It is a real benefit to the community as it’s a safe place to enjoy some fireworks.’

Mayor of Havant Cllr Paul Buckley said: ‘It’s a big, free event so it’s a super event for all the family.’
